Social Work, MSW
Claire Farkas, MSW, is thrilled to be joining Flourish as a Registered Social Worker, focusing on women’s overall well being and mental health. Since graduating from her Masters of Social Work in New York, Claire has spent nearly a decade working in the Toronto community.
Claire has spent the past 5 years working at CAMH, where she supports clients and families navigating complex health challenges in a variety of contexts. Claire is passionate about working from a collaborative mindset, while using a variety of approaches to provide client centered, strengths based, and solution-oriented support and counselling to individuals and their loved ones. Claire’s goal is to find a connection with her clients, in whatever capacity is right for them.
Claire is a dynamic, open-minded counselor, who is able to incorporate her skills and experiences to provide a supportive environment to her clients who are managing a variety of life and relationship challenges.
Claire is committed to providing women the tools and safe space to face whatever triumph they have encountered. During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Claire noticed that women needed much more readily accessible resources surrounding conception, pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and beyond. Knowing that the path to motherhood can look different for each of us, and at times be arduous and isolating, Claire is available to support women and their loved ones as they navigate their path to and throughout parenthood.
Claire is continually inspired by her clients and is committed to developing a strong and collaborative relationship during her clients paths to well being.
